The Heavenly Gown

It didn’t take me long to find that ideal gown for me. I fell in love with the gown the moment I saw it.

I was browsing through bridalbook.ph when I saw this gown. It was not the typical gown. No beads, no lace, no embroidery and it’s not white. Just so simple, the way I like it.
Before I always imagined myself wearing that princess gown, with all that ruffled details on the skirt. I don’t know what came into me, that made me fell in love with this gown.
It’s a pale blue tulle gown with a heavenly look. I felt like in the clouds when I saw this. I asked my fiancĂ© if he likes this gown and he nods with appreciation.

Just a respect to the original designer of the gown, I sent a private message through her daughter. Sharmaine Mina- Carlhian was the bride wearing that gown and her mother was the designer.
I might have fallen in love with the gown because of the labor of love the mother has put into it. After few weeks, Sharmaine replied to my message. She gave her mother’s number, Zenny Mina and I texted her. I was hesitant at first, too shy to ask permission. But will all the guts, I texted her. I was not surprised how kind hearted Ms. Zenny Mina is. And she wants to meet me! But due to my working schedule, I was not able to meet her. And I was too shy to meet her. Hehehe. Soon, I will have the courage to meet Ms. Zenny.

So, after I got the original designer’s permission. I sent emails to my prospect couture and have the gown quoted. These are the prices they gave me.

1)    KM Aquino- 18k
2)    Edward Teng- 45k
3)    Mitch Desunia- 23k
4)    Drezzee.com.ph- 25k
5)    Lawrence Kranenberg- 38k
6)    Fatima Beltran- 30k

Who is the winner?

I have decided to get Kathleen Aquino as my couture. I don’t know why. She was the second  and last couture I visited and with the affordable price she offers for my gown and entourage gowns, it perfectly fits my budget. All
I have to do is trust her with all my heart. I hope she won’t fail me. J

A New Adventure

I have had so many days to start this blog. But my mind always seemed to be blank.
With few workload at hand, I am firmly decided to start writing or forever hold my piece! lol

Since June, I have been scouting for suppliers for my wedding. Google has been my very best friend.
I know you will ask, how did he propose? He never proposed. He’s not the typical Romeo you’ve read about or the leading man in telenovelas you’ve watched. Yes, I would always dream about that romantic proposal.  But if you really want to get married with the man you love. You can’t be choosy. LOL.
We always had planned this wedding. We are at age but no money to start with. But one weekend, he was
truly decided. We went to Sta. Clara Montefalco church and had our wedding date pencil booked. February 9, 2013.

To continue on my endless journey on haunting for suppliers, I never did expect that this could be stressful. Much stressful since we have a very small
budget on hand. Yes, finding for the “this is it” supplier is such a struggle, when all the best in town are too expensive. So, I have to dig deeper in the inner core of Google to find that affordable yet superb quality of service that supplier can offer.

As this blog progress,  you will be joining me in my adventures as the rebel bride! J
